Ebony braids, moon misplaced Indigo inferno flames Speckled iris, abstract face Drowsy eyes, acrylic paint Haunted ash tree, trailing bleak Torrid patchwork women faint Pigeons perch on scribbled lines Chanting fire petals dance, Abstruse art, bewildered mind.

I'm not sure exactly why this one appeals to me so deeply. Well placed words, much like the silence in music, are very dramatic. Thanks for the interesting poem.

This is wonderful Joanna, descriptive language is powerfully abstract, you tantalise the reader with a B&W image, then give us colourful hints lines and shapes to build upon, bringing the intensity of the spectacle to life, my interpretation, but in essence your poem, cheers David
