Brenda, I love your imagery in this poem. I was looking at our trees today and thinking it won't be long before the site of those naked branches will be in our window view. Good luck in the contest! Sandra

Dear Brenda, how magical it seems that winter's "warm quilt" will soon cover the hydrangeas and frost the naked branches. You really brought the spirit of November to life, especially with the squirrels scrambling for their last bit of food. If I were judging this contest, this poem would be hard to beat. And if I were still teaching, your poem would be an excellent example of how a Sedoka should be written. Bravo, Brenda! Love, carolyn
