Nothing Can Stop Me Now

I changed the Game, it isn't the same- I am free of the Guilt, free of the Shame Released from my shackles, freed from my chains- My Life has become the sum of mundane A quiet Life, it is, indeed The only thing I have wanted To be alone, is all I need To seek my keep henceforth undaunted KNOW YOUR PLACE CONTEST ENTRY

I know exactly what it feels like to be shackled and chained inside myself. Trying desperately to change, yet getting nowhere. But, eventually we find our way out! Excellent poem with an inspiring message! Well done!...Thank you for the comments on my poem, "Passionate". That poem was actually about my passion for poetry!

from the beginning sounds like the Joker, than it changed into something softer, not a criminal but a lost soldier, where life gives him now a breather.

I love to hear my reader's different interpretations. I wrote this when I got sober for a period of about a year, but I would rather the reader decide for themselves what, if anything, they have been seemingly "shackled" or "chained" to; thanks for the cool review, Danesh :)
