Nights Quiet Sounds

In the quiet of the night with no one is around I close my eyes and just relax listen to every sound The humming of the furnace blowing, warming all the air The tiny little pitter-pats of cats climbing the stair Hearing the quiet breaths of my son in the bed Above all the buzzing noise tinnitus ,in my head cars driving down the street and tires make the sound The pavement creaks as rubber meets fast tires on the ground Occasionally a chime will ring as the air does blow I wonder whose house has the chime,must I really want to know? As quietness takes over,the sounds become more rare I need to get to sleep at night, I must take better care Insomnia fills my nights I want to sleep at night Impossible it always seems, so instead I write
