New Year
NEW YEAR
(Dedicated to all my friends at PS. Happy New Year!)
Farewell to the old year
And welcome to the new
Life opens her sails again
It sets off with morning’s dew
The wind of change blows,
And the sails fill with hope
As the ship the anchor lifts, and
The captain pulls the rope
Our Odyssey has only started
No one knows what will bring
Are we going on course to rest
Or will our ship swing?
We fill our chests with courage
Fear is absent from the heart
Ready the waves are to brave
Nothing scares us, that’s a fact.
Distant lands we are sure to find
For our dreams to realize
We are certain that this year
We’ll stop to fantasize.
