Tears surge as I revisit the pages
My mind clears, I recollect the stages
As we held hands and walked a promise path
of the undreamed hope since we said “I do”
Shook the dust of discarded past and grew
Adieu , were not intended for our breath
I lie in comfort upon your lap, scathe,
breathing deep, your saintly healing come through
Ought, slumber peaceful?
My soul burst with your absence
full with equanimity
My unmoving wing
extends forth to bring you home.
You shall live till time is due
