My Molly May

My Molly May I had a little pony I called her Molly May So often I would venture out And feed her bales of hay. So then she’d frolic Kick her heels up high Round and round she would run Looking sweet as she passed by. She’d run until she was worn out Then to the stable she would go I’d bed her down then for the night My love for her each day would grow She was my, cutest Molly may This pony always made my day. 25 September 2014

I received a message requesting that I review your poetry. The selection submitted to review I found enchantingly innocent but with a ring of the great poet William Blake, especially in his poems that had, superficially at least, a nursery rhyme quality. I shall read more of your works. A Happy New Year as well.

This poem brightened my day Vera. The last two weeks have been tough on us all here, a family member dying and funeral. Your poem was a refreshing break, a ray of light into the still lingering gloom. Thanks, giving his inspired write a solid 7..

I bet you had great fun with Molly May! Enjoyed your pony write. My grandfather had a donkey and I was in charge of it....rode it round the farm and it was my best friend. Was so sorry when it had to go for health reasons! Take care. // paul
