My Friend
My friend is loving and trusting and able
To handle all my faults and my talents
Which can be burdensome I understand;
She desires to be with me, quite brilliant
We share hopes, dreams, and everything higher
Greater than the earthly bounds and textures
My friend holds my heart and loves me always
Even when I fail to care about her
But that is rare, I love my friend deeply
She is a part of my life that I hold
My friend is everything I dreamed to be
And a heart that is made purely of gold
My friend is a light in the deep darkness
She lifts me to places I could not be;
On my own I can’t, but with her I can
We have fun, fun right to infinity
My friend is just like me but different
We are the same, but have other features
Our souls meld together a loving sense
We hold firm as one by a great mixture
