Morning Dew

Your love will fade as does the morning dew Enamored now yet soon this love will fly Your passion will grow old and not feel new The candle will but flicker then will die You’ll take from me all that your hunger needs Fulfill your every craving and much more You’ll keep me while your mouth a wanton feeds Then leave me weeping as you close the door You’ll find another woman young and fresh Her ears to impregnate with all your lies Devour ever bit of her sweet flesh Then make the deluge burst forth from her eyes And yet I smile for someday you will be Tormented by the thoughts of loving me Eileen Manassian Ghali

So much emotion ..love and passion..The kind of love only a woman knows how to give ..So much truth here.Yes so many betray their soul mates just for adventure..just to have someone younger..then when they realize what they had its too late to go back..cause the soul mate is gone.So deep dear Eileen.

Thanks, Andrea...I'm really in the sonnet mood lately. I have Craig to thank or that. He gave me pointers on how to write one. I'm indebted to him. Hugs for the visit and kind thoughts.

WOW! You write so passionately of all aspects of love! True love, true love that dies, the cheating heart, tormented love... you are a teacher of love, Teach! Hugs, Kenny xoxox

When a man looks for a woman to love and not to satiate his passions then he will never go away. It is true that the beauty of the body fades away but the beauty of a woman's soul forever flourishes! Very beautiful, true and well-constructed poem! Filakia kai na eisai panta kala agapith Eileen!

Ah, if this is true with you, my dear poet....your woman is a lucky one indeed. I don't believe there are many men like this in the world, but perhaps I'm wrong. Thanks for the post...Filakia gia sena....

Holy crap. I didn't expect this poem to go in the direction it did. This was incredible. A powerful redefining of "don't know what you got, til it's gone".
