Hello Lucy, This is my favorite poem of the month. I'm a Valley Girl Myself, My daughter's family lives out there by Mission. I will always long and crave for the Rio Grande Valley... Yeah WESLACO, TEXAS!!! Mission, is still on the grow, that's what I love about the valley. You got to see it to believe it, the warm welcomes, The Best Tex _ Mex food... I'm adding this poem to my favorite list. I love and enjoy any poem, that relates.... XOX~ Linda

When I was a Kid we lived in Browns Ville Texas and spent a lot of time on Padre Island. I think there was a bad oil splill there some years later. The one thing that still comes to mind was that it was always windy there.
