Make Me Cry
Make Me Cry
Fourth of July brought a family gathering at Crystal lake.
A dozen mommy's and daddy's and children galore.
Drinks and burgers on the grill with every condiment imaginable.
The perfect holiday, who could ask for anything more.
Allison was a angel, five years old and full of affection.
Surrounded by black hair like the sight of deep space.
Blowing in the wind as she would run wild and free.
A wide smile always graced that treasured angel face.
She played with cousins, while daddy flipped burgers.
She built a sandcastle while Mama went water skiing.
Everything was wonderful in this little girls blue eyes,
until a ball faced hornet upon her arm did start stinging.
Her reaction was immediate, her arm began to swell.
No one heard her little cry, she felt panicked with fear.
Her eyes searched for daddy, tears started to pour.
She saw Mommy on the water, she just wanted to be near.
Step by step she took, into the welcoming waving water.
The poison in her body made her weak, her little body fell.
The coldness of the lake calmed her racing heart for a moment.
Before her little ears heard the reapers deathly bell.
The engine of the speed boat stuttered while docking.
Allison's hair filled the area like seaweed only dark as space black.
When discovered her body had been painted in deathly water colors.
A little life lost, witnessed but unseen, never ever coming back.
