Loves of a Summer Day
The sunlight shimmers in the meadow fair,
As blades of grass embrace a newborn fawn.
Proud blue jays’ shrieking permeates the air.
And tree frogs thither serenade the dawn.
Young squirrels flounce with acrobatic flare.
The children watch; delight hears laughter spawn.
Perfection painted by the master’s hand.
A prayerful soul finds peace amid the land.
