Love Fireworks

I've had trouble concentrating Ever since our altercation That was fueled by jealousy You were just to blind to see The friendship I have with him Won't lead to sparks--It will stay dim Not like the fireworks I see From kisses that sparkle so brightly Into a fire not burning out So please do not scream and shout Whenever he is around My heart will always be bound Only to my special one I promise not to turn and run Away with my caring friend The guy I will always defend Can be found inside my arms There's no need for your alarms Or fears that my friend will make Your heart start to hurt and break Because I promise this to you When our "friendly" date is through My heart will run home and see The only guy that's meant for me

I agree with "Just that Archaic Poet" jealousy can be a very ugly emotion. It shows a lack of trust in a relationship. In any relationship there must be openness, communication, and trust. When these break down so does a relationship. Wishing you the very best. Be happy.

Awww, very sweet and heartfelt. Jealousy is such an ugly emotion. I've had girlfriend's whose boyfriend's were jealous of me, even though they knew I'm gay and no sexual threat whatsoever. Some people just don't get that two people can just be purely platonic friends. Your poems are so very socially conscious and relevant, Robin. Great job! <3
