Let there be peace

Let there be peace

I feel the anger in the air
The demons teeth be nashing
As egos filled with fire and fury
Send off the words, a flashing.
And yet in creativity
You can bet your life there’ll always be
A lot of feelings running free
Though that’s a road to misery
On this I have no doubts.

Yet I would say from my position
“Competing leads to opposition.”
The creative flame it needs this not
For this might damage it a lot
You’ll maybe find this out.

I hope the anger dissipates
And burns out all its passion
So peace may come along again
In a wondrous kind of fashion.
Then we’ll get back to writing verse
Be it the best, be it the worst.
Put our hearts into the songs
Forget us all this carry on.
Throw the egos to the wind
And let the words again begin.
