Exactly how did this child's mind
end up so far down the gutter?
He'll see another kid's mother walk by
and utter, "Nice Udders!"

I'm telling you
little dude is smooth
with more game than Milton Bradley
at nine years old
he already (somehow) got hold of
College Girls Behaving Badly...

if you think that's bad
at the age of ten
he trashed the pad of his new step dad
and spray painted the place
"Jimmy's Sin Bin"

the world's not yet seen
a preteen kid this mean
the greedy demon's already
a steady petty larcenist
and the slickest car thief on the scene

so if you see him coming
you better start running
and if he sees you
you're through!
not much you can do
his sins are many
though his years are few

From the title, I was expecting to see writing similar to the lyrics of the song from the Broadway musical "Bye Bye Birdie". That is one very precocious kid you are describing.

Ha this is never ceases to amaze me how things have changed with kids. This is cleverly written. "More game than Milton Bradley..." love it! On another note, sorry for my brief absence from PS...I posted a poem today :) Nice to know someone notices my absence haha...

I'm afraid this lad will end up in prison before he knows it! What can we do to help this teenager? Whenever I see this type of thing going on from kids around here I often wonder what should we be doing to help them, to be a loyal citizen? Don't know what should be done! Great write about this subject Joey! Oh, you sure can read my Poem at a reading if you want to...I give you permission to read any of my poetry at any reading, just make sure they know who wrote it, that's all I ask! Thanks!

enjoyed reading your poem this morning. It often amazes me how these young people have no guidance in their young lives. Watch out for the next few years. Excellent point to this poem. God Bless Phyl
