I want to tell you that you are not alone,” Pope Francis told some 3,000 refugees during his April 16 visit. Pope Francis praised the Greek people for the help they have given in spite of their own economic difficulties. At the same time, he said, “so much more needs to be done.” He said “this is the message I want to leave with you today: do not lose hope!” He added that love is “the greatest gift we can offer one another.”
