John D

A tragedy John’s life was so short. Alone, his beautiful young widow, In mourning for their tender love, Holds his photograph and cries. Alone, his beautiful young widow, Pining for his strong, loving arms, Holds his photograph and cries, Her memories keep her company. Pining for his strong, loving arms, In mourning for their tender love, Her memories keep her company: A tragedy. John’s life was so short. In Memory of John D For Deb’s When the Going Gets Tough contest

So sad is this poem. I just wrote one called I cry. It was apicture of a baby on facebook whose dad was in the army and he was killed in action. I did cry for this little guy who will never know his dad. So sad. I think the young man killed was from England. Nicely penned. love phyl
