It Matters If Nothing Is Done
I'm still in tears as
John Kerry speaks
No such speech
Has affected me this way
Last night I wondered
How frozen we were
But now I have resolve
That we must fight this evil
Go it alone
I know the world will follow
World war is a risk
But it's a sacrifice we must make
I cannot put into words
Except to say how proudly
I am of my country to unite
For right and not be afraid
While everyone else is running
To me the speech was poetic
Like many other war speeches
But this speech was to me
It's my vote
And these are my words that stand
Behind them
It's ashame the president
Couldn't give the speech himself
