Influence of the Moon

Your allure draws the tide to the shore. Ripples sigh secrets of the sea; lyrical love sweeps and seeps.. as stars like fireflies wow the skies, a moon- beam gilds the waves.

Hello Susan. Good Afternoon. I know you state this is a waltz wave poetry format but it reminds me of free verse to which I am partial too for all the obvious reasons and you do it proud here. Format aside, your words are poetic and draw us in. The moon will always remain influential and alluring. Thank you for sharing your poetic talent with us. Have a wonderful afternoon and weekend. Take Care (smile)

Dear Lisa, I'm filled with gratitude for your kindness and humbled and honored by your heartwarming response to my poem. This poem was written for a "Waltz Wave" contest and it should be centered to show off the "wave" but I preferred a left-align after the contest was judged. Also, this form has a strict syllable count for each line, but it does read like free verse to be sure. Both your lovely thoughts and kind smile are received with appreciation. Thank you, Lisa, your shining presence glows upon my poem. Warmest wishes, my poet friend.. ~Susan

A magical nocturnal vignette as the moon beams pirouette on the very waves that Luna herself has induced by her gravitational allure. Your intelligence and expressiveness never ever cease to amaze, dear PS-PS! Lovely writing conformed to a strict yet sublime form. Sheer artistry, you are ever a virtuoso of language and emotion. Hugs ~ PoBro

this brought me to a flood of memory...the nights in Mexico sitting on the hotel roof, chairs aligned as we watched the full moon slowly set and birth a silver path to shore....this poem is as enchanting as that, that feeling from your lines and never leaving my chair...Oh Lord the ecstasy of nature's beauty in this limn!!!

This is so potent with the dark romance of night with the moon seducing the waves, so imbubed with your classic style, I'm sure this will be a winner~

This excellent Waltz Wave must have been influenced by the moon itself, Susan! In my opinion the secret of this form lies in the end part (in your case, the moonbeam which gilds the waves). I am sure the sponsor will not fail to be attracted by your allure:) ~ Warm regards & hugs, my friend // paul
