Author's Notes: During the writing and completion of my most recent Heroic Couplet here, "In Love's Time," I actually thought very deeply about the abstract and real emotion we all refer to as "Love." For me, when one approaches love, whether it be from an abstract and ethereal view, a practical aspect, or even both -- I think it's wise and essential that one considers just how significant and vital love is to each of us as we live out our respective lives in this mortal world of ours, and what it signifies to each of us in our daily relationships with others. My notion with, "In Love's Time," was to try to capture love's essence in both its mortal and immortal senses, and to get the reader to think further about its true meaning for each of us in this life and beyond. In Love’s Time Love’s that moment in God’s eternal time, That’s ever progressive in real-time. Love’s that fiery emotion from the past, Always to be part of a future fast. Love’s time defines the history we make, And reflects the divine bliss we both take. Love is life’s wondrous moments to cherish, For God knows that all mortals shall perish. Love’s a divine emotion in God’s time, That poets may set in iambic rhyme! Mortals shan’t ever fear love in love’s time; Our cosmic souls shall find it in God’s time!
