Ignorance

Unanswered questions Bombard me daily Things I thought I knew Suddenly answers I'd been given Apparently are untrue An aging old man With nothing to do But ponder answered questions For it is only I Who seems to care Subsequent final direction In my quest For enlightenment Can find no definite answers Wandering blind and ignorant As the day I was an infant When we're young And seeking knowledge We're so easily satisfied Unfulfilled, we live our lives And simply say we tried Then one day As death approaches We stop to look behind Inventory our wealth of knowledge And, discover it ain't worth a dime

The more I read yours, the more I know that we are related !!!!Where is it gone? Why is it missed? Nowhere to be found in this earthly feast.... You are right, nothing ain't worth a dime.

We might be related, Pashang, but not my blood. We may be related in thoughts. Thank you for the visit and the comment.

Short and sweet gem that lets us think; and I do agree, in the final analysis: "Vanities of vanities. Blessings my friend.

Thank you, Iris. Age seems to have a way of narrowing the list of priorities. Wonderful to have you visit.

"There is one good; knowledge and one evil; Ignorance" Socrates, Greek philosopher 469-399 BC. Socrates would be proud of you, dear Daniel, as he had declared that "Human knowledge worth nothing" however he believed that divine truth worth everything and we should work very hard to become God like in the degree we could! Wonderful philosophical poem! A seven!

Thank you my good friend. Your words of wisdom are music to my tired ears. Doesn't it strike you as odd that someone of Socrates' wisdom lived that long ago yet we still pay no heed. Greed of mankind is relentless.

A splendid piece of work my friend! Short, clipped phrases add to the drama and the imagery is outstanding! Well done! Keith

Yes. My dime is made of silver. It was before we quit making silver coins.
