Ignorance
Unanswered questions
Bombard me daily
Things I thought I knew
Suddenly answers
I'd been given
Apparently are untrue
An aging old man
With nothing to do
But ponder answered questions
For it is only I
Who seems to care
Subsequent final direction
In my quest
For enlightenment
Can find no definite answers
Wandering blind and ignorant
As the day I was an infant
When we're young
And seeking knowledge
We're so easily satisfied
Unfulfilled, we live our lives
And simply say we tried
Then one day
As death approaches
We stop to look behind
Inventory our wealth of knowledge
And, discover it ain't worth a dime
