If I won a fortune

If I won a fortune

If I won myself a fortune
I know what I would do
I’m not the type who wants lot
No wealth I would accrue
But me I like to make folk happy
And I really love to see
The smile when someone gets a gift
That’s gave to them by me.

I get my pension, that’s enough
I do not wish for wealth
As long as I have food each day
And too I have my health
Then I’m as happy as a squirrel
That’s running up a tree
I just want to live my life
All loose and fancy free.

So if I won myself a fortune
Then I would look around
And seek out people down on luck
And when these folk I found
I’d give to each a hefty sum
And fill them full of joy
For I would like with all my heart
All sadness to destroy.
