I really like this work, it sings. I have been reading a lot of poems and quotes on friendship lately to get some ideas. None of them matched up to this. it brings to mind that song by Peter Gabriel and Kate bush "Don't give up".

I think being ignored or cut off from friends and family is so very hard to bear Jan all you can do is hope they get in touch and as you say be there for them deep write hugs 7

I liked the way you used the repeated phrase " on you" and then tweaked it to "for you" in your closing line. A nice lil' poem that carries more sincerity than many long ones. My kind of poem: short, sweet and meaningful. Good write Jan!
