Homeless

The tears flowed like rain drops Lost I walk in this world alone Dazed and confused I cannot think What was, is now in the past The link has been severed and broken My tormented thoughts became more jumbled The more I tired it seems the more I cried Things turned wrong at every angle It sat inside my thoughts It tormented me each night and day My nights became endless sleeps My days became more depressed I lost everything I once had Now I am homeless in America. 3/30/13 note-- so many have become homeless in America. My thoughts go out to these folks who once had so much and now are left with nothing. I was horrified to hear that some only get five dollars a day to eat. That is just awful. So much more needs to be done to feed people.

Phyllis; This is so true. I hope it is not your case. There are a lot of people like that here. Sometimes, I think that the Gov. helps out the wrong people. Thanks for sharing.... Lucilla

No this is not true of me but one I know has gone thru this and I hope and pray that she has a new life starting again. I could only give her my shoulder and a listening ear. I think she will be okay .

I sometimes forget how lucky we are in Canada Phyllis, except for experimental drugs we are covered for hosiptal ,tests and doc. visits. You conveyed your friends homeless plight so well .I pray for people to get the help they need. xx Anne

Thanks Anne. I sometimes feel so helpless when so many are hungry in this world. Yes, we are lucky to have free health care, drugs, doc. visits and tests. We are so very lucky.

I can tell you how some of them become that way. they lose their homes with medical bills that are so unreasonable thanks to our health care system where the insurance companies have all the control And even under Obamacare it is going to continue that way. Sorry, but it makes me hopping mad. And there are many other reasons for it, but it is a big mess and only going to get worse. I pray you and those I love will never have to face this kind of life. A thoughtful poem, Phyllis.

Hi Phyllis this is nicely written, I wasn't sure if it is true or not; nevertheless, you captured the dramatic irony very well.If it is true there is no need to worry, as of today you have a real friend. While there is life there is hope.

this is written for the homeless people in America who have lost so much. It was written for a friend who has lost so much. Her feelings were captured in this poem written by me

thanks Carrie. So many have lost so much and I cannot imagine how some are making it. Not only here but overseas as well.
