Home Sweet Home

Home sweet home is where I have seen my life evolved with the love of my spouse. The arms that have sheltered me from the outside world. ~ Home sweet home is where my children took their first steps, help to mend their broken hearts, watched them go to war, get married with a family of their own, grandchildren that ran around these rooms singing, dancing, and shooting foam darts at each other, with holiday dinners and praying together ~ We've grown older, taking care of each other through sickness and in health. Together until death do us part ~ I find refuge in the poems I write, books I read, drawings I drew, paintings I’ve painted. This is everything I need. A life I would not give up. ~ A home is where the memories of, love, healing, honest, you have shared with your loved ones. ~ Home sweet home is where I have seen my life evolved with the love of my spouse. The arms that have sheltered me from the outside world.

David, that would be wonderful. It is heaven to me, a husband that loves and protects me, and sons that call and check up on mom and dad to make sure we are ok, and a granddaughter that says to everyone “I saved the best for last." and runs and hugs me. God has given me so much. I would share if I could. Blessings dear friend hugs and love eve

Oh my, my, but I so wish I had had what you describe in my old age. Eh . . . It wasn't to be, however. I now think about the chances I missed and it truly does "get" to me. I am very sorry to comment in such a sad way, it is just that your beautiful poem brought back unpleasant memories. Not your fault. Mine, and mine alone.

My hubby won't mine, I'll even adopt you, my 31 year old might corrupt you, the 43 with his 2 kids might wear you out on their baseball, softball excursions, and my husband might bore you to death over his war stories and hunting trips. Thank you Tim for the compliment. I noticed he said under 10 lines so I had to rewrite. Blessings sir eve
