He Sees My Heart

He sees my heart The deepest part Where my dark secret lies He sees my heart And all I hide It fills tears in His eyes He knows my frame That I am weak And so he gently waits For me to ask Him To come in And clean all that he hates I hear the knock Upon my door He’s on the other side He won’t come in By divine force Love his hands have tied I need to invite Him To my home And ask Him if He’ll stay The Refiner of This soiled heart Loves to hear me pray And so He comes And so He enters My heart is not the same He has removed All that allures Given my heart His name! WOW! The ending is so subtle yet profound in love's sporty transition Eileen. Your victory is so stark, and seemingly unsatisfying. You have Hot psychology! Mmmmm.....J.A.B.

Thanks for reading my older writes, Justin. This one is not about physical love...but the divine. It is about Christ and His need to be a refiner and purifier. He is a gentleman and won't force His way in, but comes only by invitation. Thanks for visiting me.

Thanks ever so much, Richard. His love is unconditional and eternal. It is something that keeps me for giving up hope!

Dear Eileen, you have beautifully expressed the process of loving! No one can love someone truly for what s/he is, unless s/he knows the other person well. If s/he loves without knowing the person s/he loves then the person s/he wished the other person to be! Furthermore, we are unable to know someone if we do not know ourselves first! All this, of course you know, I just wanted to see if I have understood your EXCELLENT poem well! Thank you for sharing!

I believe this comment was meant for my other poem...I cannot Change for You. This poem is about the love of Christ which is unchanging. Can we ever fully know someone? Can we ever fully know ourselves? I believe we sometimes THINK we know someone and find that we have misjudged them. It is a confusing world we live in, my dear...thanks for the post.

Thanks, my dear Guru Jad. I often wonder...how we can be so untrue in all what we do when we have someone who longs to make us new. The eternal human struggle between what is right and wrong...Thanks for the visit!
