Hi Brian- Thanks for your response. Being Catholic, I tried to research Advent extensively. I thought the four candles HAD an 'actual meaning'. All I found was, the 3 purple candles represent - "Kings & Penance" and the rose candle represents "purity"? Is that so...? Did I miss something growing-up when I adorned an Advent wreath? Oh well. I tried! LOL! Merry Christmas, Sir! Peace always, John

Sometimes , just a few words say it ALL .....And you have that happy " knack ", of hitting the nail Bang on the head ....

I almost feel that the Haiku, is the perfect form of poetry. So little needs to be said to make you react emotionally. I love the Haiku's I've read here on the soup! ~ Regards..Carrie

I work the hardest at getting my Haiku off the ground. It is so easy for me to free write but this form I have to work hard at. Thanks for your welcome comments on my work Brian. Keep up the knowledgeable writes.

So true! Amazing how much can be said with so few words. Great tribute to such an excellent (and often difficult) form of poetry. Love, Shar
