Glorious Flight

Hush, my weary soul, hush! Listen…, The angel’s trumpet has just sounded, signaling Our turn has finally arrived! Come, my sanctified soul, come, Now is the time for us to separate: Me to linger behind on pastures well known And You, at once, to begin your glorious flight and soar To blessed heavens Where Eternity, anxiously awaits, you To embrace! © Demetrios Trifiatis 25 September 2015

Though it differs with my beliefs, my dear poet, I can applaud the beauty found in every line of this poem. Fantastic. God bless.

My dearest, Anne Lise, thank you for your support and appreciation. Yes, it is true that I use the laconic writing as I get older. For me it is important to, rather, pass a message than to impress. My older poems were longer, some two or three pages long, now I do not write long poems for there is a possibility not ...to live long enough to finish it! Ha-ha!
