Give Me a Change of Heart

Give Me A Change of Heart [Prayer] “4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? 5 But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who “will render to each one according to his deeds”. 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;" Romans 2:4-7 NKJV Give Me A Change of Heart, Lord; Don’t break me off and toss me away. Your goodness leads me to repentance; The only possible way. I seek your glory, honor and immortality; Eternal life that comes from your throne. I need you to exalt yourself through me; I am completely unworthy and unknown. Give Me A Change of Heart, Lord For I cannot make the change. Only you can rewire my heart, Lord And my dual brains rearrange. Grant me forgiveness of sins, Lord; Cause me to cooperate with your Spirit. I can do nothing without you; Total dependence, I’m quick to admit. Give Me A Change of Heart, Lord, So that I long to serve you. Take away all self-serving, And the plans I had in view. Replace them with your plans, Lord, And make your plans my own. I wish to represent you fully, And your glorious, heavenly throne. Give Me A Change of Heart, Lord, So I relinquish my sinful nature. Put to death the misdeeds of my body; Align my will with yours in the future. I cannot change the color of my skin, Nor can the leopard change its spots, But you can change my heart, Lord— Make me one of your own true zealots!
