Ghost of Love

Ghost of Love In my peripheral vision an angel shimmers in light cast by the coals in the fireplace right where we whispered last night Somehow I know you aren't coming back from the night and the storm.... and the thought of that is so chilling even the fire can't make me feel warm I waited in vain after you left for your goodnight call we had so much to live for but a drunk driver ended it all All I have left is memories of the love so sweetly you gave my heart went with you, my darling when they covered your grave Now you will sleep forever with the angels above all I have left here on earth is just A Ghost of Love Written with my niece, Johnette Loefgren

This is so sad but also so real with drunk drivers on the road. You are the one left behind with the memory of your lost love. God Bless Phyl
