Furore Poetica- After Reading Rimbaud

In owl light,
 a boskiness of trees is,
with darkest leaves,
twisting across stone-wort rocks

mossy, dank and dappled with mystic light
the source of life hangs, elixir-like

Erstwhile, the hippogriffs have taken flight-
the eremites all stand in waiting
for some distant herald to begin life
A strange petalody awaits blue flowering
unrestrained refulgence - in this paradisic place

Renewed by sparkling waters, Calliope remains at rest
Silver bell trees bloom, above star asters
A demi volte in stone of some Canterius
 arrests embroglio
inducing the grand cartouche
of life's poetic fire

Beautiful, and I don't want you to change it, but a word of advice: I am as fond of sesquipedalian terms as much as you are, and employ them regularly! However I do try to use them when they best express a moment, and when one risks losing a reader when there are too many in a single poem. I suspect that is the case here. (see addendum beyond)

continuation.... Our language is blessed with a rich vocabulary, and I am always trying to expand it, but a wise poet or two has advised me to be careful about that when I write. What do you think?
