Four Flowered Fields
happy yellow daffodils
nodding in the summer breeze
are greeting each passerby
with fragrant delight
underneath an azure sky
butterflies and hummingbirds
complete the perfect picture
of lavender fields
rows of tulips form an arch
arranged by color beneath
a bright cloudless Holland sky. . .
a rainbow of blooms
in a crimson sky, sun sinks
into an ocean of grass -
wave upon wave of poppies
splendidly surging
