Forbidden

He is the sun in the day She is the moon at night He shines in the light of day She glows in the darkness of night Never do they dare to touch Only glimpses of what might have been Forbidden dreams. He lives from morning sun to evening dusk She lives from evening dusk to morning sun He cannot stay with her She cannot stay with him Forbidden love. He cannot lay with her He hears her call out in the night She hears him call out in the day Forbidden desire. Light does not see darkness Darkness does not see light Day cannot meet night Night cannot meet day Forbidden.

oh, this reminds me of my Star Crossed poem, for love of night, for love of day. So much to be done with this theme!! Good one.

I like your poem. "As contraries are known by contraries, so is the delights of presence best known by the torments of absence" Alcibiades

LIGHT PREVAILS OVER DARKNESS. I n our poem both are lights but can never truly meet. Interesting take and expressing not just forbidden misery but a love unyielding that can not bear fruit. Thats always sad.. A7
