'floating Words'

I wrote you a letter, but the words drifted off the page they followed their own trail down the corridor, out by the door circling the rose bush enticing a rose, coerced into following the path my words drifted off… I had to run to keep up in the end I knew the way that familiar path, my heart always takes back to you, with a drumming sound only your ears can hear so this is my words with a rose in tow… Message delivered with a drumming sound and the echoes of I love you… *this is what happens when, I wake up too early* © All Rights Reserved

Some of our best works seem to emerge when we're unable to sleep, Wilma, and this is certainly no exception. I like the way you kept trying to find the words that had drifted off the page. Beautiful poem! Love, Carolyn
