Her world is as radiant as the sun, golden as dandelions that cover the fields and hillsides in springtime, or the sunny faced jonquils and daffodils. March 3, 2016 Picture #2 United Colors: Yellow Poetry Contest Sponsor Silent One

I see that you've expanded on a shorter poem ... well done on elaborating the thoughts into an even more yellow wonderland.

Why am I thinking about blondes? This is really about having a sunny disposition. Of course, we all know that there is no such thing as real yellow. We only have blue, red and green receptors in our eyes. Yellow happens as a figment of the imaginative brain when we get input from the red and green receptors without any blue. What does this mean and does it really matter? The next time I see a blonde, will I be thinking her hair is red with some green mixed in?

Yes,The Maid with Flaxen Hair. Is it Debussy? I love the piece and I love your poem. Heifetz made a w0nderful arrangement for violin. You really get the sun into this one. Love, daver

This is the shortened version Daver. I wrote a much longer one for the contest before I realised it had to be only four lines. I posted the longer version as Flaxen Haired Lady 2. Thank you Daver. Love, Connie Love,

I did not make it into this one on time. I had the freaking poem written but figured I could post it in the morning. Woke up and the contest had closed. So I got Orange in extra early. LOVE this picture, Connie. I did one very similar to yours, talking about sun and flowers (won't post it in case another yellow contest comes along). Congrats on a great win.
