Embracing Earth

Emerald is Mother Nature’s favorite hue. Mountains capture every sunlit verdant shade Breathing in fresh scents of morning dew. Rain drops add to rivers which cascade Allowing rainbows to form in finest mist. Clouds of cotton ride the wayward wind In shadows dark and light, sun kissed. Nature shares her beauty without end. Gaia, with all the elements she shares Entitles us with food and shelter grown At harvest that the fruit trees bear, Reaping all the blessings we have sown. Trees and plants which we are well aware, Have divinely taught us we are not alone!

Thank you so much for faving my poem my dear friend. I am so happy you liked it enough to want to fav it. I have had an unfortunate fall on July 28th and somehow managed to break four bones in my right foot, so I havent been online as much lately. I think I will feel better once the swelling goes down and I can get a cast on it. More time to enjoy poetry, but I had to quit watching my beloved 2 yr. old granddaughter until it heals. Thank you. Blessings, Connie

Are we or are we not alone in this world? Some say "Man is not alone". In any case it is quite a miracle that we have what is needed to survive. I especially like the last two line of the third stanza of your work - and thank you for your kind words. Everyone on the "soup" is a minor celebrity! Peace & Love Matthew Anish

We are indeed not alone. This beautiful poem is a testament to God's existance as are you. I hope your husband's health is improving. I have said a prayer for him today.
