Ebony Moor

Bittersweet crescendos echos ebony moors,
Vaporous phantasms haunt along jagged shores.
Gales eerily wale beckoning blackened tide,
Alienating azure shades tis a boon denied.

Fated to bear restlessness likened ball and chain,
Quietude forsaken, bedeviling a brackish domain.
Beseeching serendipity irony on deafened ears,
Ebbing with forewarned archaic yester-years.

Supplications hold naught guarantee,
No turmoil embraced is solely free.
Phasing evermore along horizon mist,
Moonlight holds a power, serenity dismissed.

Dawn arises, etched on roughened rock,
Weathered in stone so n'er be forgot.
Seeking respite from the taunting breeze,
But alas briny breakers embody solemn seas.
