I like this. It really speaks Spring to me. Nice imagery. The thing with this type of poem is to say much with few words. Good job. God Bless, JB

Loved this beatiful and refreshing and warm Haiku. Thank you for reading my Fort Sumter and for your comment. I almost didn't write it, i did it at the last minute on the 12th Of Apirl, the day I posted it.

cheery verse for our spring! Is your ground unfrozen yet, dear? I am starting to see the blossoms on my two front yard trees. I decided to comment here since the one above this has not gotten any real comments of note , just two people telling you it needs to be removed. Hope you have a lovely weekend. LUv, Andrea

Love Spring, Phyllis! This is a warm and cherished write to this sometimes wary season. Lots of birds "chirping melody", but the scent and colours hasn't arrived yet. This makes me feel hopeful! Wishing you the best! Mikki

You have captured the sights, sounds and scents of the season very well in your haiku, Phyllis. Great modern haiku! Thank you for your comments. I don't know what became of the draft dodgers who fled to Canada. Thank goodness we have a volunteer army now -- some people are just not cut out for combat. Don't think I could have ever fired a bullet at the enemy. Love, Carolyn
