Door To a Wayra Behind the Door

Behind the blue door Sorrow resides constantly Paint the walls a pure bright white The door a soft yellow One that invites live in rapport The soft yellow door Where fragrance of joy exudes The scent of the honeycomb And spiced perfumes await Love, peace, joy gush behind that door

I just love this, Sara. Can't believe I did not see it earlier. It is so joyful and I love the color you painted that once blue door. Sometimes I see houses with red doors too and they are so nice. Congrats on your win.

Unique, Sara, a marvelous rennovation of the door. Great use of sight and smell and now that the contest is done you may add the element of sound to your room with another stanza. Or not! Congratulations on a fine piece just as it is.

I love this write my good friend! A message of love and hope in the ending stanza stirs my heart and soul!!!! A poet's job is truth, hope, love and getting the reader to stir into the thinking world be it at any level. Preferably deep , where our complacency in life often gets us to avoid such hard tasks. You made a comparison that millions face everyday. That of misery and sorrow which must be defeated by the quest for -- "Love, peace, joy gush behind that door" Huge congrats my friend!!!!!!!!

Hi Sara! Your take on this contest theme is excellent. Colours do change our perception of things or situations, and you did that with ease; you entice me with your second part of the poem. gl in contest. // paul
