Don'T Mess With My Brain

Snowing again, this is unbelievable When is it going to end This winter of so much discontent What happened to the warming trend Heard our ice cap is melting rapidly Is that not just a natural cycle As this old earth normally evolves Does it affect us guy's survival Here's my opinion for what it's worth It's as natural as all the seasons No need getting into a real big flap We'll survive as we have for eons A simple old man just bumming along Like the last seventy-eight years Don't mess with my brain, that's silly stuff Gonna down another ten beers © Jack Ellison 2014

Dear brother Jack, the only place for snow is on Christmas cards - I loathe the stuff it makes our little Island grind to a halt. Roll on summer. Hope your lovely Cathie is keeping a tally of the beer bottles or your next poem may be about brewers droop ! :-) Hugs.Jan xxx

The winter of 1970-1971 was a terrible one Saint Lawrence river was frozen till mid-June! Be brave my friend you have overcome so many winters and you will this one survive! Cheers! Have couple more beers, Spring is around the corner!

I tell Dragon that each morning. Don't Mess With My Brain! He certainly knows better, you know, before my first cup of JOE! As for the melting ice cap! Well the glaciers are forming here! We had one day of 80 degrees! Thought summer was on the way. Was mistaken! That was summer here and gone! Oh well! As I always say! Enjoy it before it is really gone! Don't worry Jack, It's old Mother Nature playing with your brain. She does that some times, you know! After Dragon taught her all his games.

Oh no! ANOTHER ten beers! How many have you had, ha ha! YES I hate the snow, I've had enough! Have you reached record levels of snow this year? We have reached the second highest amount of snow ever for a winter! I hate this winter, it's not just the snow, it's that bitter cold, and wind! Well, this poem exemplifies exactly how I feel about this winter too my friend! I surely enjoyed reading this truthful poem here this morning! What a glorious piece, Great Work!!
