Divorce and Remorse

Two hearts became one Now they follow different paths – Divorce with remorse He complained constantly of my cooking Café reservations always booking Said I drove him insane But boy did he complain When I left for someone better looking The complaining has stopped, but the house is so quiet So I pick up the phone, invite him for a riot Haiku, limerick and couplet for the Divorce Club contest

Should be a winner. I haven't tackled this one as I have not been divorced. I know it is traumatic under any circumstance. Love, Joyce

Amazing and beautiful. Witty and sad too. You have created a great limerick showing the depths of love which resulted in a divorce for a thing like cooking. My good wishes for its grand success in the contest and thank you for your kind and precious comments on my poem 'Pleasure of Moving on Moon'. Love and best wishes always...Ravindra......Diane Locksley

Nicely written, Diane. Even the title is witty and telling. The three different styles fit together nicely with a common theme and continuity. This should do very well in the contest. Nice job. Joe
