My heart is like discordant music,
From hues of jade, to tingling electricity,
Everytime I steal a glance at her

She is silent staring down in her usual 
gentle way, perhaps contemplating her 
next read

A din now plays in my head, the din of 
the voices of friends,
Telling me how much she cares

Yet now she is as quiet as a timid child, 
staring down in serenity, face devoid of
