Day Dream Moment

Sometimes my head is in the clouds Shutting out a moment of time I stare at a realm beyond My mind drifts in and out of fantasy land Bringing warm sensations to the overcrowded mind Immune to the world around Lost in a cloud that encircles the vision Where reality leaves and the dream world awakes Envisioning a perfect state A glimpse of a peaceful day dream moment A sound jolts me back to reality The clouds float away, and my day dream moment gone.

As a child, I spent much time lost in daydreams. They were indeed visions of "a perfect state," Phillis. Wish they didn't have to end. Terriffic writing! Love, Carolyn

We all need a bit of fantasy in these challening times to keep our sanity. I like the uplifting feel of this poem. Keep on writing. Thank you for your comment. Karen

Beautiful dreamy day spent in a flash- enjoyed it- if you read my `Mother Nature` the similar words in the same places on each poem are surreal
