Dark Days of Winter

Deep dark dreary days of winter Frozen moments immersed in cold It grasps and clutches all within reach Freezing the inner bowels deep within Barren roots forbidden to breathe Bitter cold encases gives a squeeze Winters grip covers sleeping growth White dust creates icy dunes Darkness appears early on the horizon Cold, unyielding, harsh twilight hours In the deep dark dreary days of winter.
