Damn You, Adam
Adam’s Garden yeilds a tree
Grown from the roots of Hell
Rare Forbidden fragrant fruit
On golden branches; Rapture fell
But Adam stepped one fig away
From Satan’s dying Curse
This world remained a Paradise
And Eve escaped the pain of birth!
No ghastly storms for Noah
With Arc afloat in driven rains
No frantic fear of drowning
Forty nights and some odd days
Cain would not slay Abel
No Tower found in Babel
Seeds of Life were never planted
Generations never born
No Sins in need of repentance
Nor Judgment days in Heaven
To receive their final sentence
The highest price was paid
For Adam's abstinence
