Cirque du Soleil

Pride goes before a fall they say,
Following the games people play.
But alas I can't get much farther down,
I'm beyond his circus clown.

My heart popping like a balloon,
under a blue fool's moon.
Welcome to life, a circus extraordinaire,
You, the ringmaster in this farce affair.

Selling, peanuts, popcorn and cracker jacks,
No matter how you complain, can't get the money back.
Enjoy the show as the plump lady sings,
Center stage in the circus rings.

A clown dances around playing the fool,
Hanging on your words so cruel.
Swing on heartstrings trapeze,
No safety net if you please.

A diva on the high wire act,
The show is over as it fades to black
Daring fate, vicarious of them all,
Too bad deciding to fall.
