Christy
Why do i miss her
When she isn’t even mine
The time without her
The time to whine
Complaining the winter
Complaining the loss
I miss my sunshine
My day was lost
I worry about her
I pray her name
And hope she comes back
Exactly the same
My time without her
Comes at great cost
I pine my disaster
And bare the cross
She is a shining star
To follow in the night
An oasis in a desert
On the journeys flight
To miss her is
Loss of direction
Starvation
Of my might
Yet think of her I must
As a guiding light
Though inside my mind
With missing her I fight
Oh God bring back my measure
Oh God bring back my life
Oh God don’t take my treasure
Return the pleasure of my sight
(Sometimes a poem is as real as it can get.)
