Christmastown
I wish I lived in Christmastown,
Where it's Christmas every day;
The folks I'm told are merrier,
At least that's what they say
Snow blankets the countryside,
Filling the cobbled streets;
Everyone believes in Christmas,
The one true meaning of peace
The trees are bright with tinsel,
Tiny lights dance a radiant glow,
Children work their magic,
Shaping objects made of snow
Holly adorns each home,
With trees so pert and true;
The scent of pine fills every nook,
Poinsettias are abundant too!
Candy canes of peppermint,
A tantalizing treat;
Fills every shop in Christmastown,
Along the roads and streets
Carolers blend in unison,
Spreading holiday cheer;
Voices echo throughout the hills,
Lifting spirits far and near
It's always cold in Christmastown,
The folks don't seem to care;
Hearts are filled with laughter,
Compassion's what they share
Doubters' cries of poppycock,
Where it's Christmas all year round;
While skeptics tout of fantasy,
I believe in Christmastown
