Christmas Eve

Come on children it is Christmas Eve
Off to bed you must go, or no toys will you receive
For if he should see you awake you can bet
That no toys in the morning you’re sure to regret

For Christmas day all too soon will be here
Bringing with it lots of good cheer
Santa’s stacking the prezzies high upon the sleigh
Soon Rudolph will take off, his red nose will light up the way

He will land on the roof no one will hear a sound
The magic house key he will find on a hook in the ground
Into the house he will quietly sneak
So light on his feet no floor board will squeak

You should leave him a carrot and something to drink
To feed to the reindeer they will love you I think
When the morning comes and at last you awake
As excitedly into your prezzies you break

Give thought for the reindeer and old Santa Claus
They did it all in one night without a pause
Hope you all get the things you asked for
For if you’ve been good then you will have for sure

If only all the good boys and girls received their Prezzies. Sadly so many are not so fortunate. This is a lovely picture hopefully one day all the worlds children will awake with a special gift.
