Checkmate
We both love each other it's not hard to figure out,
what's really hard is dealing with doubt.
From the time we're apart,
we're breaking our hearts,
With disillusions and lies,
to better our lives.
Trying to gain something we think we can have,
when it was right there next to us, then we feel sad.
Hurting ourselves for trying so hard,
being nothing more than selfish and taking it so far.
To the point of to return, a place none of us will go
together,
A checkmate in life, and it never gets better.
